Penang Architecture

Penang, Malaysia, a UNESCO World Heritage City, is an original port town on the old Asian trading route. Because it was settled and developed by a hugely diverse group of people, Penang is chock full of a variety of amazing architecture: colonial style houses, shops and warehouses, many of which have been beautifully restored. There are also temples from Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, Christians and Muslims; from Chinese, Malays, Indians, Thais, Europeans, Burmese and others. Enjoy this sampling of Penang's diverse, stunning architecture.
